Stop by and join Microchip / Atmel® Tech on Tour Trailer at Valley Forge to host a series of IoT Seminars and show off new chip technologies for the emerging IoT market. Microchip / Atmel will be showcased with demos and presentations. Microchip / Atmel technologies power the edge nodes that form the links between individual devices and the gateways that connect to the cloud. We also supply makers and designers with all the basic building blocks of smart, connected designs—from embedded processing and connectivity to sensors, security and software. Agenda 8:30am Registration Arrive early to meet the team and get set for a great day of IoT Seminars, Demos, and Networking 9:00am Session 1: Simply IoT Tech Seminar Atmel SmartConnect SAMW25 opens the door to the Internet of Things for a vast array of battery-powered devices and applications requiring the integration of WLAN connectivity without compromising on cost and power consumption. In this lab-based seminar, attendees will receive an Atmel SAMW25 Xplained PRO board and learn to develop an IoT thermostat application. Laptop and installed Studio-7 tools are a pre-requisite. 11:00am Session 2: Crypto-Authentication Increasing concerns with the security of all connected nodes has lead IoT product developers to wonder how they can prevent hackers and malicious attacks to their devices from the outside or thru the internet itself. This session will discuss the use of symmetric and asymmetric cryptography solutions to safeguard IoT systems. 12:00pm Lunch 1:00pm Demo showing 1:30pm Session 3: Microchip Wired Connectivity Solutions Many IoT devices require integrated Ethernet and/or USB connections. In this session, you’ll learn about innovative solutions for wired IoT designs. 2:30pm Session 4: Microchip Power Management Solutions With IoT, the distributing and managing of power supplies is becoming more and more critical. This session will discuss the many challenges IoT designers face and the range of solutions that Microchip offers. During this stop, you will also have the opportunity to speak with a Microchip / Atmel Tech Expert to ask your toughest design questions, learn about industry trends, and get advice.
